In Memory of my mother Anna Maria Fleming

Dear Mom,

        Today 11/11/11 makes 3 years since you passed. Although cancer has taken your physical body at the age of 57 it could never take away the memories I had with you through out the years or the impact you had on people’s lives. I will forever as long as God gives me breath, live on your legacy of what you stood for and the heart you had. Many people in this world did not know you but I know if they did their lives would be touched in God like ways. You stood for what you believed in and your actions showed this. Although the fortune of money was not in your presence you still found a way to contribute the little you had to the unfortunate in this world. You supported children in 3rd world countries and called them your own and donated countless hours to teach children in elementary schools because your pure heart was fond of the little ones. Your actions as a mother have taught me so much as a man and I am carrying on your legacy by adopting children in 3rd world countries and helping people I come across that are less fortunate then myself. When I see pictures of your smile it brings me back to the time when you would put on your favorite music "Elvis Presley" and just begin to dance without a care in the world. I find myself doing this all the time when I hear music I love. Your ways are now my ways. I know that your much happier now where you are then you ever been because your mother, father and brother are with you. We as humans on this earth become selfish in the way that we do not want to let go of the people closest to us because of how loved they made us feel. What we need to understand is that when God takes them it's because they have made their correction here on earth and no longer needs to exist in the physical world. All the great ones pass at a young age and you are amongst them. I know that no matter where I am in this physical world you are always there watching and protecting me.  I am at peace knowing that you are my guardian angel and when I want to talk to you I can just whisper because I know your right by my side.

Memories Of You

I remember everything about you,
your voice, you smile, your touch,
the way you walked, the way you talked,
the way you looked at me, meant so much.

I remember all the words you said to me,
some funny, some kind, some wise,
all of the things you did for me,
I see now with different eyes.

I remember every moment we shared,
seems like only yesterday,
or maybe it was eons ago,
It's really hard to say.

You are gone from me now,
but one they can't take away,
your memory resides inside my heart,
and lights up my darkest days...
